Instructions:

For the marinade, combine the garlic, soy sauce, sugar, grated ginger, chopped cilantro and Chinese five-spice mix in a small baking dish form and mix well.

Place the duck breast fillets in a shallow, non-metallic baking dish and pour the marinade over the meat. Gently turn the duck breasts to the other side so that they are completely coated with the marinade on both sides.

Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and marinate for 1 to 6 hours. Turn the duck pieces once or twice on the other side so that the marinade is completely absorbed.

Remove the young duck pieces from the marinade. Reserve the marinade to brush on the meat later.

Grill the duck breast pieces over hot charcoal for about 20 to 30 minutes, turning frequently to the other side. Brush with reserved marinade using a pastry brush.

Slice the duck breast pieces and place on preheated serving plates. Perhaps garnish the grilled young duck breast slices with fresh cilantro sprigs and bring to the table.

necessary to add oil to the marinade. However, the broiler should be greased to prevent the meat from sticking. It is best to do this at an appropriate distance from the broiler to prevent possible flaming.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all of a good dish!
