Greek Yogurt Parfait (Print Version)

Creamy Greek yogurt layered with fresh berries and crunchy granola

# What You Need:

→ Dairy

01 - 2 cups plain Greek yogurt

→ Fruit

02 - 1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

→ Sweeteners

03 - 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

→ Grains

04 - 1 cup granola

→ Optional Toppings

05 - 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
06 - 1 tbsp chia seeds
07 - Zest of 1 lemon

# How To Make It:

01 - Wash berries thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels. Hull and slice strawberries into quarters or halves depending on size. Leave blueberries and raspberries whole.
02 - Distribute 2-3 tablespoons of Greek yogurt into the bottom of each of four clear parfait glasses or jars, ensuring an even base layer.
03 - Drizzle approximately 1/2 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup over the yogurt layer in each glass, allowing it to seep into the yogurt.
04 - Divide the mixed berries evenly among the four glasses, creating a colorful fruit layer atop the sweetened yogurt.
05 - Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of granola over the berry layer in each glass, distributing it evenly to cover the fruit.
06 - Continue layering in sequence: remaining yogurt, additional honey if desired, remaining berries, and more granola until each glass is filled to within 1/2 inch of the rim.
07 - Top each parfait with remaining granola, chopped nuts, chia seeds, and fresh lemon zest if using, creating an appealing garnish layer.
08 - Serve immediately while granola maintains maximum crunch, or refrigerate for 15-30 minutes for a softer, melded texture. Parfaits are best consumed within 2 hours of assembly.

# Handy Tips:

01 -
  • It transforms ordinary ingredients into something that looks like you spent way more effort than you actually did
  • The texture contrast between creamy, crunchy, and juicy never gets old no matter how many times you make it
02 -
  • The granola starts getting soggy after about an hour, so assemble these right before serving if texture matters to you
  • I once made these the night before and woke up to something that looked more like breakfast soup than parfait
03 -
  • Room temperature berries have way more flavor than cold ones straight from the fridge
  • The difference between good granola and great granola is clusters, so always shake the bag and grab the big pieces first
