In a large baking bowl, mold the butter and microwave just until flat and slightly melted. The butter should be a soft, smooth amount, so stir a few times. Mix in half of the light butter, this will cool the butter down a tiny bit that may have gotten too warm.

Remove the skin from the garlic and roughly dice.

Melt the remaining light butter in the mug until liquid, pour in the garlic and finely mince with a hand blender. Stir into the soft butter mixture.
