For the chocolate cake with jam, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Melt the chocolate. Mix soft butter with powdered sugar and yolks until creamy.

Mix in melted chocolate well, mix flour with baking powder and stir in well. Carefully fold in the snow, spread the dough on a baking tray and bake at 180 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 35-40 minutes.

Let the cake cool down. Cut the cake 1x crosswise and spread it thickly with apricot jam. Place the lid on top and decorate the chocolate cake with jam as desired with white and/or dark chocolate icing.

Preparation Tip:

The chocolate cake with jam can be spread with any jam to taste.
