Instructions:

1. cook pudding powder with milk and sugar according to package instructions, scrape out vanilla pulp and add, stirring until bubbly. Cool down.

Cut out the core of the apples and cut a lid from each apple into small pieces.

3. dice marzipan, fold in cranberries. Add remaining filling ingredients, mix well.

4. place apples in a greased ovenproof dish. Fill with marzipan mixture, placing a small cap on each, sprinkle with ground almonds. Spread butter flakes evenly between the apples. Bake in a heated oven (200 °C, lower rack) for 40 minutes. Remove, sprinkle with almond flakes, dust with powdered sugar and serve with vanilla sauce.
