For the apple pudding pockets, first peel apples if desired and cut into small cubes (about 1 cm).

Prepare pudding with apple juice according to package instructions and refine with sugar, cinnamon and clove powder. Immediately add the apple pieces and let this mixture cool down.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Spread out the puff pastry and roll out a little more. Cut in half lengthwise and cut each strip into 4 pieces to make 8 equal pieces. Cut half of these pieces 3 times (will be the pocket lid) and brush the edges with beaten egg. Spread the apple mixture on the closed half of the puff pastry pieces and close the pockets. Brush with egg and bake for about 20 minutes with light browning.

When cooled, sprinkle the apple custard pockets with powdered sugar and serve.
