Instructions:

For the curd dumplings with jam, put the jam in ice cube trays and freeze. One cube is needed per dumpling – so 6-8 pieces (depending on size).

Knead all ingredients for the dough into a smooth dough (butter should be soft). If the dough sticks, add some more flour. Then chill for at least half an hour.

Remove jam cubes from mold – should be well frozen. Divide dough into 6-8 equal pieces – depending on the size of the cubes. Flatten the pieces (preferably with wet hands) and work in one cube at a time to form a dumpling.

Lightly simmer the dumplings in salted water for about 20 minutes.

For the breadcrumbs, lightly fry the breadcrumbs and sugar in butter. Add cinnamon to taste. Remove the curd dumplings with jam from the water, turn them in the breadcrumbs and serve with more breadcrumbs.

Preparation Tip:

Of course, you can also fill the dumplings classically with strawberries, apricots and so on. Plum roaster, apricot roaster and the like also fit well.
