For tomatoes au gratin, finely chop parsley. Wash tomatoes and cut diagonally in the middle. Press the peeled garlic cloves through the press into a bowl. Add the breadcrumbs and the parsley.
Fold in the egg yolk and the oil to make a homogeneous mixture. If necessary, add a little more oil.
Season generously with oregano, salt, pepper and thyme and spread evenly on the tomato halves.
Layer the tomatoes in a gratin dish and bake in the oven at 220° Celsius for 15-20 minutes.
Gratinated tomatoes served with white bread are a delicious appetizer!
